Abandoned: A poem by Amber Rylee moore
You push
You shove
you make excuses
You get rid of me like I'm nothing but a rock in your shoe
With all your hurtful words
With all your pains and stings
I try to shout and cry
But nothing comes out
It's just a silent scream
Held deep in side of me
Trying to tear free but
Is held by chains and binds
Harder and harder
Time moves on, years pass
But the rage rises as
I'm tossed aside, yet again, like
I'm a ràg doll
I'm a freak
I'm a loser
Will time not stop this torment?
Will I ever be free from these chains that hold my silent cry to
Be loved
To be cared for
I'm falling apart at the seems
Can't you see
I feel my heart cracking each time
You push
You shove
You abandoned me, your beautiful daughter!
